Hi, I read somewhere that some tenancy agreements attract the payment of stamp duty. And if the AST is to be used in Court for a possession claim (form N206B),following serving S8, there must be evidence that the stamp duty has been paid. otherwise the claim may be adjourned or dismissed. Can any landlord who knows more about it eplain in which cases stamp duty needs to be paid and to whom, when, etc. Thank you
