Which is the best notice to terminate a periodic tenancy
Tenant started a one year AST 1st Oct 2016 at the end went on to periodic.
In 2017 he had difficulty paying due to salary and pay date.
We adjusted the rent down £30 and allowed him to pay later in the month, by the 14th day latest but did not change the original due date.
He is now two months in arrears or two months and 14 days in arrears.
Question: Which date applies for arrears and do I serve a section 21 and a section 8 or just a 21.
Can I use the 1st of the month or the 14th as the date of arrears?
Its now the 19th so what date/s should I put in the section 21 etc.
