Hi,
I have a tenant who has just been sent to jail for a minimum of 3 months for harassment without violence against me his Landlord. In addition he is also well in excess of 8 weeks rent arrears. Obviously the tenant/landlord relationship is now untenable and I need to know if, because of his absence and offence, his tenancy agreement is still valid or do I need to serve a S8 notice? If a S8 notice is required do I need to serve it at my property where he has the tenancy or do I need to serve it to him via the Prison Service?
Thank you in advance if you can assisst.
