I've decided to supply some new tenants with some furniture when they move in, and would like to ask people's opinion on fire regulations. I know the '88 Act goes into a lot of detail about pillows, cushions and soft furnishings, but it doesn't mention solid items like bedsteads and wardrobes. If a bedstead is made of wood, surely you can't guarantee that it's flame retardant? And the same must also go for wardrobes etc, unless there's some way of flame-proofing them which I haven't heard about?
