Agent providing landlord address? (or not?)
Please could you advise chapter and verse on whether a letting agent is obliged to provide a tenant with contact details for the landlord (who lives in Australia)?
Although I'm a (self-managing!) landlord myself this enquiry actually relates to my daughter's tenancy. She hasn't asked the agent yet but wants to do so, at my behest, because she is being messed about and told lies by the agent, who will of course certainly try anything he can to block any tenant/landlord contact, and my daughter wants to be able to rebuff any attempts to refuse.
I get that the landlord can be served notices c/o the UK agent's address, but is the agent still legally obliged to provide the landlord's direct contact details? Thanks.
