Hi,

I have the same tenants for four years living in my rented flat. However, recently one of them had a baby. A couple of weeks before the baby was born, they informed me that they had mice in the kitchen. I have put mouse traps. However, they keep on telling me that mouse droppings are evident. Is it my responsibility as a landlord or the tenants to deal with it, as they have been living there for a long time? Obviously, I want to play my part, hence I bought mouse traps and also booked for a tiler to come and tile off a hole.

Also, I obviously want the matter dealt with asap, but wanted to know what is considered 'reasonable' time to deal with the matter.

Finally, any advice on methods to eradicate this problem would be gratefully received.

Thanks.
