Ending a tenancy
My tenant's Agreement runs out on 24th October (5 weeks time). He signed a Section 21 when he signed his Agreement last October. I would like the tenancy to terminate then as, due to ill health and age, I have decided to sell the property. I understand I must give him 2 months notice within the terms of his current Agreement so do I just send him a letter stating my intention to sell and not renew the Agreement with notice running on for a 3 week period after his Agreement expires? My other concern is that I have been advised by another tenant who left last month that the remaining tenant has registered the address at Companies House as his business address and he is working from the property although his Agreement states clearly that he is not allowed to do so. Is there any action I should take under these circumstances.
