Tenant has put their correct 1-month notice in starting on a rent day (say 25th July) in a letter to the Landlord.

Council is stating that the Landlord is liable for the last day of Tenancy (say 24th August) as the Tenant did not occupy the full day.

Landlord has told Council that Tenant is liable for last day and attached the letter to them with Tenant signature on.

Realise this is a dispute over 1 day, but its the principle of it as the Council Tax liabilty
does not pass back to the Landlord until the next day (25th August)

Any advice?
