BedBugs....Tenant moved in anyway
We have a new tenant, that noticed bedbugs on the day they moved in. Our real estate agent took action and professional bedbug treatment was carried out. The tenant decided to move in anyway, despite of seeing bedbugs.
Now almost 3 weeks later, he is requesting 3 weeks worth of rent compensation, due to not being able to move in completely, being bitten by bedbugs and general inconvenience.
My questions are: Should the tenant have moved in despite of noticing bedbugs?
Is he entitled to a compensation and if so how much?
Thank you for your answers.
