Portable Appliance Testing

My letting agent asked me to arrange portable appliance testing. I asked an electrician to do it but he said this testing is not applicable as my appliances (fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher) are each connected directly to their wall outlets, rather than by plugging into wall sockets. The property is let unfurnished, so I don't have any other appliances, such as a kettle or microwave. Could you please tell me if this is correct, as labels from earlier testing are visible on the appliances. Also, is it relevant whether the appliance is integrated or free-standing? The fridge is free-standing but the washer/dryer and dishwasher are of the integrated type. Thanks, Fred Frost
