QUESTION: Fire Exits - Front door
Our Victorian building was previously converted into 3 flats over 3 floors.
I'm happy that that the doors fitted into the flats & the Fire control system in operation, are fire reg compliant; they were professionally installed in 2016.
There isn't any rear fire exit provision, as the building backs immediately onto another building. Access into the building is via the buildings front door, which by default acts as the only Fire Exit.
That front door is a 6 panel wooden front door, with a single barrel security lock.
From the inside that door has appropriate Fire Exit signage.
Has anyone with a similar front door serving as a fire exit, found this to be a problem ?
