BTL Property - Mortgage arrangement fees and Property Valuation Fee incurred in the 17/18 Tax Year
We purchased a BTL property 03/08/2017 and incurred a mortgage arrangement fee of £950 and a valuation fee of £222. Previously I have listed these as expenses that have been deducted from the rental income.
Please can someone confirm with all the latest taxation changes ie section 24 how these are to be dealt with? If possible reference to the HMRC actual manual guidance would be brilliant as then I will have this as a reference point going forward.
