Testing water temperature
As part of the RLA Legionella Risk Assessment it is necessary to ascertain that the water temperature at the hot tap is above 50C to ensure legionella is not present but below 60C to prevent scalding.
The Risk Assessment asks: "Is the hot water temperature setting on the boiler such that the hot water is heated to a temperature of 60C?"
How do we answer this question when there is no gauge or calibrated temperature setting on the boiler?
