Hi,
Had a phone call from the police tonight regarding a child welfare issue involving one of my tenants with the police asking for information about the tenant, telephone number etc. They seemed genuine and offered to come to see me in person to show they were real police officers, however I didn't give them any info through fear of data protection.

Assuming a genuine situation of this type, my question is:-
Should I pass on any info to the police and if yes should I thenI insist on any documentation from them to release the info?
Any further advice beyond my questions welcome also.

Thankyou
Matt
