Leak around base of WC - approached Insurance compnay made claim as house is now 300 miles away builder recommeneded Loss assor. - authozided search and find floor dug up up . pipe meneded - waited furher 4 month for insurance claim advice- loss assessor allowed dreadfull smell in bathroom to go on for 9month . would not allow us to tile under bath even though same floor tiles .
had to call back loss adjuster who oked it .
- assessor kept us in dark - when work startred to strip out bathroom he advised camping loo would be p provided for a family of 5 as only required for a few days .as prtaloo outside budget ! builder and tenat in meltdown on day 1 - no wc children running in bathroom while stripping tiles off . I rushed down - agreed to reinstate bathroom when kids back at school Sept . started again in sept . assesor drop off camping wc managed to stain bedroom carpet with chemicales - - buildre not given correct amonut of tiles asseccor on hiolday, bathroom fully stripped out - tenant calls 7 days no bathroom by the monday I booked a potaloo. at 25.00 a wee wk ...
mishapps incorect quantities , boxing to high , tilers walking out bla bla 3 weeks later she still with out bathroom 4 weewks all ok but poor quality as thrown together
question: tenant not paid top £ 250.00 a month - outstanding 2k . never blamed us as we did all we could to suport -
tenant , builded landlord unhappy with loss assor work - now discovered it was a 7k claim we find £ 2,500, funds unaccounted for that we would never have known if if job not gone wrong.
loss assossor advised insurance would not rehouse tenants should we be looking at compensation - for tenant ? if so how much ? bedroom carpet now replaced by us .
has any one had problems with Loss assesor Aspray ? we took them on thinking it would be a qucik and ptrofessional job .
