Letting agent purchasing the landlord license
The current letting agent of a property I am going to buy in Liverpool which has a tenant in situ offered to put the landlord licence in their name. I have to pay for the licence but they said they would be responsible for making sure the property adhered to all the regulations set by Liverpool council.
Could someone please advise if this is a good idea? It sounds ideal and could mean less work for me but what happens if 12 months down the line I decide not to use this particular management agent anymore? Am I tied to them for the length of the licence?
Any advice around the pros and cons would be greatly appreciated.
