I have been asked by the company that does most of my maintenance to get all my tenants to sign a waiver, for when they are working in the property and the Tenants are not home. It is to cover them if anything goes missing or if something not connected to the job gets broke. In no way is it about any thing that goes wrong on the job that can be claimed on insurance.
The reason for this is in our local area, a workman who was beyond reproach was doing an job at about the time a diamond ring went missing, he was accused of it and there was no evidence, but he was arrested and it went to court. It has caused untold damage to him and his family.
Has anyone any wording or advice ?
