Notice in 6 month break clause within a 12 month contract
Despite my instruction, the agent gave the tenants a one year contract with 6 month break-clause. I asked agents to give notice in 4th month for 6th month, thus giving me flexibility, as I am also trying to sell the house. However, house unlikely to sell in the sixth month, so I would like the tenants to remain on a rolling-contract basis. They have been given notice by agent to leave by a specific date in the sixth month. Do they have to leave or can I ask them to stay on a rolling contract basis? Also, what happens with the deposit? Any advice gratefully received.
