Can I sell property when an AST is still in-term?
I am considering selling my BTL property, but it has a tenant in place with an AST until the end of April. Am I still able to sell and complete, before the AST has expired; or do I need to hold off completion until the AST expires? I would assume I can assign the AST to the new owner, but couldn't see any specific clauses in the agreement stating I could do so.
