I have just read the article on Tenant fees in the Residential Property Investor Jan/Feb 2019.

It appears that we will not be allowed to claim for most of the expenditure associated with setting up a new tenancy or renewing a tenancy.

However I would like clarification on the following:

1 Will we be allowed to charge the tenant for Inventories?

2 If the Tenant loose their keys and we have to get the lock changed and we then
employ a locksmith who charges say £120.00 to do the job

Is it the landlord or the Tenant who pays £120.00 to the locksmith or can we just
charge the Tenant the cost price for a set of keys which might be about £10.00
