When does tenant damage become my problem
I have a tenant for just over 3 years, they have broken and smashed every door in the property, plus slammed doors that hard the frames have moved 1-2 inches at the bottom popping the plaster off.My kitchen cupboard doors have been ripped off, which I replaced the base units and work tops a year ago. Now because Im evicting them under Section 8 rent arrears,they have brought in the Environmental Health, who have sent me a list of replacements and repairs. I have an inventory done before the tenant moved in signed by the tenant, together with another 120 pictures showing the condition before they moved in. So please tell me why am I having to pay for their damage ?
