I have a couple in a 2 bed flat who have fallen out, and some form of common asault has taken place. The upshot is one tenant has been banned from contact with the other and also been ordered to stay away from the flat. I am trying to persuade the alleged offender to surrender the tenancy. If this is succesful does it also apply to the joint tenant. It is nearly 3 months until I can issue a section 21 and surrender would be a quick route out. I am yet to find out what type of response I would get from the accuser.
