Claiming for lost rent
I have recently gained possession of a property via the courts.
The period from the expiry of the section 21, and the court bailiffs obtaining possession was five months, during which time I received no rent (the tenant remained in occupation).
I intend to pursue the tenant for damages and unpaid rent during the tenancy; but my question is can I also claim for the rent lost for the five month period between the section 21 expiry, and the date of possession.
