We are on contract with British Gas who have just serviced one of my tenants boilers - they have said we need a carbon monoxide detector??

Is it legilsation that the property has to have these or is it just BG trying to sell me a detector. The boilder is checked every 6 months, once by British Gas and once by a Corgi registered gas fitter who supplies my safety certificates.

Do I have to have these fitted?

Any help would be appreciated?

Many thanks

Elaine
