Dear Sirs,

Last year we successfully obtained a CCJ against a tenant who had vacated a property early, owed rent and also caused damage to the house. The judgement was in the sum of around 1800. We received a letter from her when she left the property apologising and promising to repay the money when she was able!

We had been having difficulties tracing her to serve further court papers but have now received a letter from The Insolvency Service stating that a Debt Relief Order has been made against our tenant as she is unemployed and unable to pay our debt and a considerable number of others debts also. Looking at the list of creditors, we are the biggest. Do you have any advice regarding our best option? We have not come up against this order before.

Thank you for any help.
