We have used an agent in clacton and they witheld my half of the money for rent and the other half to someone else. Even tho the property was being sold the agent still refused to send us the money. the company that bought the property didn't take it over until the day the rent is due ( to save any confusion on how much money should go to who) so any money owed was not the company money. we have report this to NFOPP and ARLA and guess what. A waste of space they said that there has been no breach in the matter. i and We as a company recommended to people not to always go with a arala or NALS or NAEA like these firms say you should use a registered agent as they are professionals. Why as when you make a compalint and the agent doesn't follow there internal complaints policy and these firms say you can complain to the regulating bodies, they don't want to know.
