I am a new letting agent and was recently advised at a conference that letting agents cannot charge a fee should a tenant wish to purchase the property that they have been renting. I know at one stage letting agents were charging between 1-4% of the sale price but I recently heard that letting agents have no right to do this.

Can you please kindly confirm so that I can put a clause in my business terms.
