I have a potential problem in the making and was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. The neighbours next to my property have a tendancy to play loud music both day and night and my tenants have complained both to myself and the neighbours themselves. Now I am aware of the procedures to follow to have this noise stopped but here's some questions:-

1. Can the tenents quit early stating this noise as the reason

2. If they don't quit can they request a reduction in rent - a perfectly resonable request as I would hate to live next door to that noise!

3. If they do leave or the rent was reduced does anyone know if the neighbours could be sued for loss of income!? Has anyone done this?

Thanks in advance.
