If members put a question to the helpdesk they get the following option displayed at the foot of the question page......"Other Landlords may have had a similar experience, and may wish to contribute their viewpoint. Tick this box to post your message on the public Landlords' Forum. Leave the box unchecked if you would prefer that your message be handled confidentially"..... Surely this is misleading as it leads the questioner to believe that by ticking the box their question will be 'handled confidentially', when in fact what happens is their 'confidential question' is actually displayed on the forum with their name (and in a recent example, a new member, believing it was confidential, actually displayed his surname and membership number as well). There is not an option ‘to not display your question’. I feel that this point needs to be taken on board as this new service is reviewed. Perhaps the following can be considered - The default is.. 'A' Neither your question nor the helpdesk answer will appear on the forum, Tick 'B', for - The question, (but not your name), and the help desk answer will appear on the forum, or Tick 'C', if you want to annoy other users on the forum have your question displayed with a 'sorry you can not read the answer' message displayed beneath it.
