I have a modern converted three bedroom house occupied by two couples one of which has a child. It therefore requires a license.

The fire officers report recomends a hard wired panel alarm system Type L2 BS 5839 part 1. I am of the view that this sort of system is excessive in what is a normal dwelling and not an institutional residence. I have spoken to AIco who have been very helpful and have suggested a radio link system that complies with BS 5839 Part 6. I note from Oxford City Council that they are accepting this technology for their shared houses.

Has anyone got any experiences they can share with me?
