I have a flat in a block, built around 1995. It already has an electrical cylinder water heater in cupboard, plus new plug in cooker in kitchen.

An electrician has just installed a new shower unit - there was no shower before.

I am going to let the property. Do I need to have a certificate of competence or something.

The electrician who installed it, although a qualified electrician does not practice his trade now, but works in an electrical suppliers.

any advice would be helpful.
