I currently live in accommodation provided by my job as a housemistress under a tenancy agreement with the school but I have one day off during the week and one at the weekend. Because my tenants have kept a dog which is in breach of the standard Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement (and therefore not an 'unreasonable' grounds, I don't think?) can I serve a notice on my tenants that I want/need the premises back as I want to live there myself? And if so which notice should it be?

Also, on another matter, if the tenants now start wanting to pay the rent that has not been paid, do I have to accept it?
