I have used a limited co to buy the freehold of a block in which I have a minority of flats . I am selling shares to the flat owners ,one each, with the objective of enhancing the values of the flats. Solicitors acting for new purchasers seem to find this too difficult to understand and if the share is mentioned the conveyancing slows right down!
I would like to give a 999 yr lease to the shareholder flats, and cut the ground rent, to a peppercorn. But my usual solicitor doesnt do this kind of work. Any advice would be welcome.
