Couple splitting up, paying tenant leaving, non-paying tenant staying...
She insists that as she is giving notice for herself, that she is absolving herself from any further liability.
The wife seems to believe that the rent is her husband's problem, but I have told her that as the tenancy is a joint one, she is liable for the rent if her husband won't pay, even though she doesn't live there any more.
Am I right in this, or is she able to serve notice for just herself?
