Hi. I am thinking about charging tenants 2 months rent when they move in rather than the tenancy deposit. BUT if I do this can I still set up the standing order to start a month after they move in?

EG.

Tenant moves in 1/5/07

Rent = 500 pcm

I take 2 months rent ie. 1000.00

This covers the period

1/5/07 to 1/6/07 500.00 paid

1/6/07 to 1/7/07 500.00 paid

BUT the standing order would start 1/6/07. But I could say this covers the period a month later ie 1/7/07 to 1/8/07.

Is this ok? and how would I word it?

Please let me know.

Thanks
