Just been looking at a previous post and noticed the following reply from Dave A

'A Witness is not essential this day and age and I have not seen a case lost yet due to the lac of a witness.

Anyone can be a witness over the age of 18'

Dave A

I have noticed that most Tenancy Agreements include a box for a 'witnessed by' signature, If you did decide to have a Tenancy Agreement witnessed, is a signature enough? My signature is illedgable and I doubt anyone would work out my name from looking at it. Most forms that require a witness usually ask for the full name of the witness, their address and occupation. Also, if most Tenancy Agreements don't have witnesses does the Agreement still have to have a box for a witness to sign??

Thanks
