Please could you advise what I can do in these circumstances:
My three Polish tenants have given notice to quit. Two are going back home, one is to stay and sign a new tenancy agreement alone. Rather than get the deposit out, as all is in order (the place seems clean and tidy) we would all rather that the lead tenant who is staying, simply pays the other two back their share of the deposit, and we leave the money where it is in the deposit scheme. However, it is true that there will be a new date for the new tenancy agreement, and the two non-lead tenants would need to be taken off the scheme.
Is it possible to re-arrange things under the scheme like this, or do we have to get the deposit sent back to all 3 and then get a full deposit out of the one who is staying?
Thanks for your help.
