Can someone please answer this question for me once and for all!! We have a house that has been converted into 3 Studio flats with an office on the ground floor. After a recent EHO visit they have stated that this is an HMO (Quote... The said property consists of 3 bedsits/flatlets and an office making it a house in multiply occupation as defined by the Housing Act 1985.....un-quote)

Can someone please clarify if this is correct as we are not sure it is, all rooms have their own front door, kitchen and bathrooms. The only space they share is the entrance hall. The office is directly below these flats and has its own access. We have been paying business rates for the office plus council tax for 3 seperate studio flats?????

Any help would be much appreciated
