I recently let my property to new tenants. Before moving in I informed tenant in front of the agent that there were coacroaches in the flat and that a pest company is working towards eradicating the problem. The tenant still agreed to move in and I paid the agent 2 weeks rent as the introduction fee. Agent also issued contracts, but I saw no evidence of referencing, credit checks etc.

Once the tenant moved in he felt there were too many coacroaches and has decided to move out. It is only 6 days since moving in.

Is there a 14 day clause or anything like what happens when you buy financial service products, saying you can change your mind in 14 days? I would like to get back my 2 weeks' rent from the agent. Any possibility?
