We've just managed to get a tenant out of our apartment after months of hassle and going through the court. Isaac Anthony our agent passed the case over to a legal representative in Janury and has had no further dealings with us since March when the tenancy ended, in fact mostly refusing to talk to us. The tenant left last week. We've had no rent since February, he's virtually wrecked the apartment and taken all our electrical goods, cutlery, crockery and saucepans. We've applied to the agents for our Deposit back and to our amazement they've deducted their 10% commission for March, April and May. Can this be right? Surely their commission was 10% of the rent and as we've had no rent how can they charge commission.
