I wish to carry out an inspection on my property. I have it written in the tenancy agreement that we will carry out an inspection after 6 weeks. Just to make sure everything is fine then at 6 months.
My problem is I don't really know how to word this to the tenant and how do I go about it. Obviously, I have to give her 24 hours notice, but I find it difficult and awkward walking into someone's house and looking at their stuff. If the cooker is scummy do you mention it?
Previously, the letting agent used to do it, but I am now managing it myself.
Any help or pointers much appreciated.
