Problems in S8 Repossession if Rent Paid Four-Weekly
I've just noticed that RLA's Completion Instructions for its Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements states "IMPORTANT - If you collect rent four weekly you may not be able to rely on mandatory Ground 8 to repossess the property if there are rent arrears"
I have LHA tenants who have an AST specifying úRent to be paid every four weeks. They initially received LHA four weekly (and initially forwarded it to me on the same four weekly basis) and more lately for whom Salford City Council make four weekly payments to me directly - per that authority's standard practice.
Do I face jeopardy in obtaining a S8 repossession and if so on what basis?
