I have just been informed by my solicitor that as my tenants are refusing to leave today(end of tenancy) I must now take them to court & if I pay 350 plus VAT & an additional 150 court costs they will deal with it. Does the RLA offer legal services with a more realistic cost? Also, as I have been advised to go for the accelerated posession, does this mean I cannot make claims for the amount outstanding? This now stands at 2803.31 excluding interest. I have been advised that I could make them bankrupt, would this affect my claim to get them out of my property? Also, when I mentioned this to my solicitor I was informed that the cost of this would be in excess of 1000 all in with no guarantee of any recompense? Please help, "VERY CONFUSED" & very skint.
