I own a flat that is presently unoccupied and am upgrading it. I have a friend who is a qualified electrician, who is going to connect my new electric cooker.

He is also able to do the electrical work for the installation of a shower, as it does not presently have one.

is it ok for him to do the work, as long as I have his work, road tested by a NICEIC electical engineer, before a tenant moves in?

any advice in this respect would be much appreciated.
