We have tenants that are well overdue in rent to the tune of approx 5000.00, this is over a 6-8 month period. They originally said they had been cloned which is why no rent was paid but I have to date not seen proof although I have asked several times for this. Despite several letters for rent arrears,I have given them written notice by way of a letter dated 5th December, 2007 asking for rent arrears to be paid and that they must vacate the premises by their official tenanacy agreement date which is 16th Febraury, 2008. They have only replied a couple of times from past letters and I have heard nothing in the last 2 months. Do I also need to serve them with a section 8 rather than just by way of written letter? I have as you can imagine been more than fair in the circumstances. Can you please advise me of my next move? Thank you Teresa Rosewarne
