Any advice would be greatly appreciated, let a house a year ago father of tenant was guarantor, tenant was a nightmare, didnt pay all the rent, which the guarantor did pay reluctantly, but on the tenant vacating the porperty we have had to totalY re paint re carpet etc the house, have presented the guarantor with the 3500 bill and he is offering to pay 50 per month, which means it will take him 6 years plus to pay debt, have been advised that if I issue ccj the judge could allow him to pay even less, (he is working and is a homeowner) what options do we have? we obviously want/need the money now!
