Hi,
I have a nightmare tenant who has not paid rent to me for over 2.5months (1000 in arrears). I am thinking of serving S21 notice but the problem i have is that the tenant has been there for over 5 years and i have lost the tenancy agreement, so in essence i only have a verbal agreement with him. I dont know when the tenancy started and what dates to put on the notice. He is a cash paying tenant and he pays sporadically. What do i do? i have been warned to get the dates roght on this agreement. If i serve today (23/01/13) should i put it to expire on 25/03/13. Would that be correct?
