I have a problem tenant and have applied to the court to evict him on grounds of non-rent payment. I have followed the information given on the website and the court have written back to me with a date for the hearing. I have a slight problem though. We served notice on the tenant and sent it via special delivery. The problem is that the letter was returned to me yesterday because the tenant failed to collect it from the post office. Can we still go ahead with the court hearing or do we have to re-serve the letter and therefore re-schedule the date of the court hearing? This is starting to cause problems as the tenant now owes 3 months rent (1500).

Please can you advise me on what to do now?

Thanks

David
