My husband and I own a flat in London. It has been let for some years through an agent who is not registered with any association. I have recently found out that the tenant named on the tenancy agreement is saying he is the landlord and letting the property out via another agent who has split the two bedroomed flat into three tenancies - one per room and housing seven people.

I have given the agent notice and issued a repossession order to my original tenant, which has found its way to the seven sub-tenants. This repossession order will run out on 6th August and one of the subtenants has contacted me to say he has paid up until 14th and cant find anywhere else to stay by 6th

What do I do now?

My original tenant is now in arrears.

thanks
janice
