A tenant in one of our bedsits is on a statutory tenancy. He has resided at the property since 1982. He has always been a trouble maker, often fighting with other tenants etc and his rent is constantly in arrears. We have sent many letters to him about his behaviour and also demanding that he clears his arrears or we will issue legal proceedings. We would now like to actually proceed with this and get him evicted but I am unsure what notice needs to be served on him.

Please advise.
